Laura brought the cycle to a sliding halt. Dismounting, she walked to the rolling steel door, looking for the mechanism to open the rusty yet unyielding portal. just as she was about to try a latch on one side, the door banged, rattled, and groaned as it was being lifted from the outside! Laura stepped away, then fell back, drew her pistol, and braced herself against the tunnel wall, waiting to see whom was on the other side...
