The hush of the night was broken only by the soft twirp of crickets, and her own footsteps, stumbling along the gravel and mud-slicked forest path. The moon was high in the summer sky, but it's guiding glow was hampered by moving clouds and overgrown trees. Suddenly she heard mens voices up ahead, and instinctively her body shuddered, and crouched - her arms and hands attempting to cover her exposed flesh. A beam of light pierced the night air, falling upon her. Her eyes widened as excited grunts and murmurs could be heard, along with heavy footfalls making their way toward her. She fell to her knees sobbing, unable to make the effort to move forward again. Her last thoughts before collapsing and the blackness enveloped her again? "Tonight it is Over, Whether these are my Tormentors, or Rescuers"
A dark story. But...What you perceive is up to you. You control her destiny....by one more sentence. As you read the last line - What entered into your mind first...Did evil or good befall her?
That is how it can be with life....What we first perceive - How we see our own story "playing out" - from whatever befalls us.....What we believe will occur....What we project to others and ourselves - usually does.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
